Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our heirloom beans and pantry staples.

How long do dried beans stay fresh?

While our beans are from the most recent harvest and will cook much faster than supermarket varieties, they are best enjoyed within two years of purchase for optimal flavor and texture.

Do I need to soak my beans before cooking?

Soaking is not strictly necessary for our fresh-crop heirloom beans, but it can reduce cooking time and help the beans cook more evenly. If you choose not to soak, simply expect a longer simmer.

When will my order ship?

Orders are typically processed within 3 to 5 business days. During peak seasons or after new product launches, processing may take slightly longer due to high volume.

What is your return policy on food items?

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns on food items. However, if your order is damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 30 days for a replacement or refund.

Do you offer international shipping?

Currently, we only ship within the United States and to select territories. We are exploring international shipping options for the future to bring our heirloom varieties to more kitchens.

Are your beans non-GMO?

Yes, all Rancho Gordo beans are non-GMO. We focus on preserving heirloom varieties that have been passed down through generations using traditional agricultural practices.
